Xavi- The New Head Coach of The Netherlands

Spain legend Xavi Hernández has taken over as the new head coach of the Netherlands men's national team, signing a long-term contract through to the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The 46-year-old former Barcelona manager succeeds Ronald Koeman, who stepped down following a disappointing World Cup exit against Morocco. Marking his very first venture into international management, Xavi makes history as the Netherlands first foreign-born manager in nearly 50 years, since Ernst Happel in 1978. Influenced heavily by Dutch-rooted club mentors like Johan Cruyff and Louis van Gaal, Xavi expressed immense pride in the appointment, vowing to implement a high-energy, possession-based attacking philosophy. The tactician will face a trial by fire immediately; his highly anticipated dugout debut is scheduled for September 24 against eternal rivals Germany in a blockbuster UEFA Nations League clash.
