Cape Verde's World Cup hero Vozinha made a dream debut for Chilean giants Colo-Colo, keeping a flawless clean sheet. The 40-year-old veteran goalkeeper—fresh off a sensational global campaign that earned him a Ballon d'Or Goalkeeper of the Year nomination—marked his first start for Los Albos in a 3-0 victory against Unión Española in the Copa Chile. After paperwork issues initially delayed his arrival in Santiago, the beloved shot-stopper immediately proved his worth under manager Fernando Ortiz. He followed up his cup debut by making his Chilean top-flight debut against Huachipato, keeping another stellar clean sheet in a 0-0 draw to log a flawless 180 minutes of unbeaten football. Wearing his traditional yellow kit, the veteran manned his defence with supreme composure, earning massive standing ovations from nearly 20,000 travelling supporters as Colo-Colo firmly cemented its 14-point cushion at the summit of the Liga de Primera table.
