Just days before their Women’s Asia Cup opener, the Indian women’s football team faced an unexpected problem - their jerseys didn’t fit.

According to a report by The Times of India, the squad received playing kits from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) that were actually made for age-group teams, not the senior national side. Because of this mix-up, almost 80% of the 26-member squad found that the jerseys sent to them were either too small or didn’t fit properly. With the tournament around the corner and the team already in Australia, the players and staff had to quickly look for local playing kits so they could be match-ready. While the team is focused on performing well in the tournament, the jersey confusion has raised questions about preparation and logistics just before such a big competition.
