Manchester City Women 6 – 1 Aston Villa Women (December 14, 2025)

This Women's Super League (WSL) fixture took place at the Joie Stadium and resulted in the largest home win of the season for Manchester City. The home side opened the scoring in the 37th minute through Khadija "Bunny" Shaw. City doubled their lead in the final seconds of the first half (45+2') with another goal from Shaw. The statistics at halftime showed Manchester City with 65% ball possession and six shots on target. Aston Villa attempted to defend their area but struggled to keep the ball, recording a pass accuracy of only 68% in the first period.



In the second half, City’s attack intensified. Aoba Fujino scored in the 62nd minute, followed by Vivianne Miedema in the 73rd minute. Aston Villa managed to score a single goal in the 70th minute through Lucy Parker, but Manchester City quickly responded. Khadija Shaw completed her hat-trick in the 84th minute, and Grace Clinton finished the scoring with a sixth goal in the 90+4 minute. Final match data confirmed that Manchester City had 11 shots on target out of 22 total attempts. They also earned 9 corner kicks throughout the 90 minutes. This victory extended City's winning streak to ten consecutive games, keeping them at the top of the WSL table with 30 points. The match attendance was recorded at 2,711 fans.
