Arsenal Women traveled to the Borough Sports Ground for this League Cup quarter-final match against London rivals Crystal Palace. Arsenal secured a 2–0 victory to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. The match was dominated by Arsenal’s midfield, which maintained 62% of the total ball possession. The first goal came in the 20th minute when defender Laia Codina headed the ball into the net following a set-piece delivery. Crystal Palace attempted to equalize but was limited to only two shots on target during the entire match.

The second half was a tactical battle as Crystal Palace used a defensive formation to prevent more goals. Arsenal, however, remained patient and recorded a total of 14 shots. In the final moments of the game (90+3'), Stina Blackstenius scored Arsenal's second goal to confirm the win. Factual data shows that Arsenal’s goalkeeper kept a "clean sheet," facing only six total shots from the opposition. Arsenal also recorded an 84% pass completion rate, compared to 71% for Crystal Palace. With this result, Arsenal moved into the semi-finals, where they are scheduled to play the winner of the Manchester United versus Tottenham match. The game was played in front of a sold-out away section, and the referee issued two yellow cards, both to Crystal Palace players for tactical fouls.
